Village Church Irvine VBS T-shirt

For Village Church Irvine’s Vacation Bible School, I designed a retro surf–themed T-shirt with bold, summery colors that captured the excitement and energy of the week. The back features a circular sunset scene with palm trees, ocean waves, and a warm sun, rendered in a vintage 70s/80s–inspired palette of yellows, oranges, teals, and blues. Beneath the scene, a checkerboard pattern adds a playful, nostalgic touch. Inspired by classic arcade visuals, the design also incorporates fun pixel-art elements and bold typography, with the text “VILLAGE KIDS” in thick, rounded lettering that complements the retro vibe. The overall look is youthful, adventurous, and beach-inspired—translating the joy and community of VBS into a memorable, visually striking keepsake that kids and families loved to wear.
